What is Nouveau Bar & Grill?

Located in the heart of College Park, Nouveau Bar & Grill offers a modern twist on Southern dining. With features like a VIP room, patio, and rooftop alongside events like Mimosa Jams and Karaoke Fridays, there’s usually something to draw a crowd.

Our Experience

Tenecia (Socially, Curl Muva) suggested we check out Nouveau Bar & Grill for our friend date, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s styled with an upscale flair but feels more casual and lively—perfect for our laid-back outing. I chose the Ultimate Cajun Seafood & Grits—chargrilled shrimp, salmon, and crab meat over creamy grits in a martini glass. It was as flavorful as it was eye-catching. Tenecia enjoyed her perfectly cooked Fish and Grits, that thing was looking scrumptious.

Our server was great, especially since it wasn’t too crowded around brunch time. He recommended the lamb, but noted the seafood and grits (my choice) and crab cakes as favorites. People also rave about their french toast and chicken and waffles.

We topped it off with an On The Island drink—strong and served in a cored pineapple, a real tropical treat. The service was quick, thanks to our reservation, making our experience smooth and enjoyable.

Social Reviews

Let’s dive into what the social media’s saying about Nouveau Bar & Grill. @thedaishab ran into a bit of a hiccup—finding the place was a bit tough, and the vibes were off once she got there. Her meal, especially the salmon, didn’t hit the mark, and the drinks were more Hennessy than anything else. Not exactly what you’d hope for, right?

On the flip side, @looney.yaya had a blast, great for kicking back with the girls, though the wait for food and drinks tested her patience a bit. She’s good to go back, aiming to check out their brunch next time.

And then there’s @nyliakiran, all praises, slapping a perfect ten on her visit. Shows that Nouveau can really shine when it’s on its game.

@thedaishab Come with me to #nouveaubarandgrill at their College Park location. Decided to go get some lunch today, upon arriving it was very hard to locate the restaurant if you’re not familiar with the area. They are located on a corner tho if this helps (next to a braiding shop with a yellow sign, the restaurant has “nouveau” in black letters on the top). I ordered salmon for my meal but i originally wanted stuffed chicken breast but I was told i couldn’t substitute my sides if i got chicken so i chose salmon. It just simply wasn’t good for us…😭 I could have made us something better at home. The drink was too strong it was supposed to be a mix of lemonade & ginger ale and all i tasted was Hennessy. When we were ready to order our juices The bartender was very rude (gratuity does that) she couldn’t understand my date and grabbed his phone out of frustration to see what he was looking at on the menu…then the drinks tasted like crystal light (WATER) it just was too much going on😂 deviled eggs were good tho 🤷🏾‍♀️ but yeah definitely not worth $122 & definitely not going back. wouldn’t recommend. #atlfoodie #foodie #foodieoftiktok #blackfoodie #blackgirlfoodie #girldinner #devilledeggs #chickendevilled #restaurantsinatlanta #wheretogoinatl #thingstodoinatlanta #atlfoodreview #atlantafoodreview #honestreview #foodvlogger #foodvlog #foodreview #barandgrill #happyhour #freelucci ♬ original sound - Daisha B 🥂⭐️
@looney.yaya Nouveau Bar & Grill 📍3775 Main St. College Park, GA Great vibes perfect for a girls night out‼️ Overall experience 8/10 Long wait for food and drinks (Reservation for 9:30, received drinks and app at 10 and entrees at 10:40) I will be back next time to try the brunch 💙 #fyp #atleats #atlanta #nouveaubarandgrill #collegepark #projectpat #travel #tourist #capcut #foodie #vlog #seafood #brunch #mukbang #repost ♬ Take Da Charge - Project Pat

Final Verdict

Nouveau Bar & Grill presents a mixed bag: great for casual outings with friends or early-stage dates, but it may not dazzle those seeking a refined dining experience. With its vibrant event lineup and dishes that get you FULL, it’s a place to consider with the right expectations.
